LG DualUp: Custom Monitor with "All-New Format" 16:18 Aspect Ratio
LG today announced DualUp, which it calls "a completely new format for the monitor market."
What is special
The highlight of the model is the non-standard aspect ratio - 16:18. The result is a rectangular, almost square 27.6-inch panel. According to the manufacturer, such a monitor provides “the same screen area as two 21,5-inch display ". There is also a vertical split screen function, which is very convenient when multitasking: the user does not have to constantly turn his head, risking neck and back pain. In addition, the format will be convenient for video editing.
The display itself has a resolution of 2560 × 2880 pixels, a maximum image brightness of 300 nits, a maximum contrast ratio of 1000: 1 and a coverage of 98% of the color space DCI-P3... It comes with an Ergo stand that can be installed on almost any table.
LG also announced the more familiar UltraFine monitor with 16: 9 aspect ratio, 32-inch diagonal, 4K resolution and brightness up to 400 nits. The self-calibration sensor also provides high image quality.

Both models are equipped with a pair of HDMI ports, interfaces USB-C (no Thunderbolt support), as well as the ability to charge external devices via USB with a power of up to 96W.
