iPhone 11 stayed at the bottom of a lake for a week - and it still works
There has been an incredible case in Brazil involving the iPhone 11 smartphone, more specifically its water resistance and, so to speak, survivability.
Here's What We Know
Student Breno Rafael, while out boating on a lake, spotted a drowning woman and rushed to her aid. The man dove straight in with his clothes, so his smartphone fell out of his clothes in the water.
The iPhone 11 had been lying at the bottom of the lake at a depth of seven metres for a week before diving instructor Edinho Rocha found it. He thought the phone was broken, but pulled it out anyway. As it turned out, even after a long "swim" the gadget continued to work.
The instructor was unable to unlock it, so he wrote a post on social media. The video post received 17,000 views and was noticed by Breno himself. As a result, the phone was returned to its owner.
Officially, the iPhone 11 can withstand being submerged underwater to a depth of 2 metres and for a maximum of 30 minutes. But there are, of course, exceptions - like this case.
