ASUS Zenfone 9 - compact flagship powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 with IP68 protection at a price of € 800

ASUS announced a new generation of flagship smartphones. So far they presented only one model - ASUS Zenfone 9.

What we know

The novelty is equipped with Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 chip with a peak frequency of 3.19 GHz and Adreno 730 GPU. The RAM is 8/16GB and the internal storage capacity is 128/256GB. There is no microSD card slot.

The front side of the ASUS Zenfone 9 features a 5.92" Full HD+ screen with 120Hz frame rate and HDR10+ support. The Super AMOLED matrix is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. In the upper left corner there is a 16 MP selfies camera.

The main camera in the smartphone received sensors Sony IMX766 and Sony IMX363 50 MP and 12 MP, respectively. The main module (50 MP) has OIS and 2x zoom without loss of quality, according to the manufacturer. Video can be shot in 8K UHD at 24 FPS and in 4K UHD at 30-120 FPS.

The battery capacity is 4,300 mAh. It supports fast charging capacity of 30W. The smartphone has stereo sound, NFC, Wi-Fi 6e, Bluetooth 5.2, USB-C and Mini-Jack. The fingerprint scanner is mounted on the right side of the case. Protection meets the IP68 standard.

Price

The price of ASUS Zenfone 9 in Europe is €800 for the base version with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory. The smartphone will go on sale with ZenUI firmware and Android 12 operating system. Available body colors are Sunset Red, Moonlight White, Starry Blue and Midnight Black.
