Sweden to consider supplying Saab JAS 39 Gripen fourth-generation multirole fighters to Ukraine
The Swedish government will instruct the country's armed forces to assess the possibility of supplying Saab JAS 39 Gripen fighter jets to Ukraine. This is reported by Radio Ekot.

The Swedish government wants to have information on how the supply of fourth-generation fighter jets will affect the Scandinavian country's defence capability. Also, the authorities want to know how quickly it will be possible to get new Gripen.
In addition, Sweden intends to determine how ground personnel and Ukrainian pilots will be trained. The authorities of the Scandinavian country allowed the pilots of the Ukrainian Air Force to train on the Saab JAS 39 Gripen multi-role fighter in the spring of 2023.
The Swedish Armed Forces must hand over the results of the analysis to the government by the end of autumn 2023. After that, the authorities will decide on the delivery of Saab JAS 39 Gripen fighters to Ukraine.
