Ukraine is one step closer to receiving Swedish Saab JAS 39 Gripen fighter jets: Ukrainian pilots have undergone a familiarisation programme on the aircraft's use
We have already written many times that in addition to American F-16 Fighting Falcon fighters, Ukraine also wants to receive Swedish Saab JAS 39 Gripen aircraft. Now the AFU Air Force is one step closer to this.
Here's What We Know
According to Swedish Defence Minister Pål Jonson, the Ukrainian pilots have undergone familiarisation training, which includes test flights on aircraft and simulators, as well as briefings for ground staff. The Swedish Defence Minister believes that the experience gained during the introductory training will become the basis for determining the conditions for sending aircraft to Ukraine.
By the way, it was recently reported that the Swedish government will instruct the country's armed forces to assess the possibility of supplying Saab JAS 39 Gripen fighters to Ukraine.
