$390m contract: Philippines buys C-130 Super Hercules military transport aircraft from Lockheed Martin

The Philippine Department of Defence is buying C-130 Super Hercules aircraft from US company Lockheed Martin.

Here's What We Know

The information appeared on the country's government website. The contract is for $390 million and includes three military transport aircraft C-130J-30. Although initially the Philippines planned to buy five aircraft, but due to budget shortfalls reduced the order. The first aircraft will be delivered in July 2026. The second aircraft will be handed over in October of the same year. As for the third C-130J-30, the Philippine Army will receive it in January 2027.

The C-130 Super Hercules is the primary tactical military transport aircraft of the Air Forces of many countries. In the basic C-130A modification, the aircraft's crew consists of 4 people.
