The Indonesian Army has decided to buy the third batch of French Dassault Rafale aircraft.

Here's What We Know

The information was shared by the company Dassault Aviation. We are talking about a contract for 18 aircraft. Thus, Indonesia will soon have 42 French fighters in service. Indonesia ordered the first batch of Rafale aircraft in 2022, and the second - in 2023. In total, the country will receive 30 fighters in the Rafale F.4 modification and 12 in the Rafale B modification. By the way, Indonesia initially planned to buy Russian Su-35 aircraft, but eventually abandoned this idea in favour of French Rafale fighters and American F-15EX.
