Unique footage: Volodymyr Zelensky showed how Ukrainian pilots undergo a training programme to operate F-16 Fighting Falcon fighters in Denmark

United24 Media journalists have filmed a report about Ukrainian pilots who are undergoing a training programme on F-16 Fighting Falcon fighters in Denmark.

The video was shared by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. In the video, a Ukrainian pilot with the call sign Moonfish tells about the features of the aircraft, as well as about the training programme, which takes place at the airbase in Skridstrup. Another small comment was given by one of the maintenance technicians.

In total there are 8 Ukrainian pilots and 65 technicians in Denmark now. By the way, the other day Denmark announced that it plans to transfer the first batch of F-16 Fighting Falcon to Ukraine this summer.

F-16 Fighting Falcon is a multifunctional light fighter. It was developed by the American company General Dynamics. Due to its versatility and low cost, the F-16 is a success on the international market. It is in service with 24 countries. The F-16 is the most mass-produced fighter of the fourth generation. As of 2009, more than 4,400 have been built, and in 2016, more than 2,500 were in service.
