Financial Times: Ukraine receives two Mi-171E helicopters from Argentina
Ukraine received two Mi-171E helicopters from Argentina, which it had previously purchased from Russia.
Here's What We Know
The possibility of transferring these helicopters to Ukraine became known in December last year. As noted, the United States proposed to include the cost of the helicopters in the recalculation of the first payments for Argentina's purchase of F-16s from the Danish arsenal.
Two of the helicopters have already been decommissioned because they have reached the end of their useful life and now need scheduled maintenance. Buenos Aires and Moscow signed a contract for the supply of two Mi-171Es back in 2010.
It was Argentina's first purchase of Russian equipment. The contract was valued at €20 million, and also included courses for pilots and technicians.
