Poland received the first Saab 340B AEW-300 long-range radar detection and control aircraft

Swedish company Saab has handed over the first long-range radar detection and control aircraft to Poland.

It is about Saab 340B AEW-300. This was announced by the State Secretary of the Polish Ministry of National Defence, Paweł Bejda, on Twitter. He also published photos and video of the aircraft landing. By the way, Poland will receive a total of two long-range radar detection and control aircraft from Saab. The contract for the purchase of two Saab 340B AEW-300 worth $58 million was signed last July.

The Saab 340B AEW-300 is a Swedish long-range radar detection and control (AEW&C) aircraft. It is equipped with a PS-890 Erieye radar with an active phased array. The aircraft is capable of detecting its own and enemy targets at a range of up to 350 kilometres. The Saab 340B AEW-300 has a crew of six.
