What we know

As we can see, investors' faith remained unshaken despite the crisis in the cryptocurrency market. From January 1 to June 30, 2022, the value of Bitcoin dropped from $47,700 to $19,800 (-58.5%). Ethereum fell from $3770 to $1070 (71.4%).

In the first six months of 2022, investors spent $30.3 billion buying digital assets. Centralized venues were the most popular destination, attracting $10.2 billion. Decentralized venues attracted nearly six times less, at $1.8 billion.

In the decentralized finance segment, Ethereum leads. The share of protocols in the first and second quarters of 2022 was 56% and 82%, respectively. Meanwhile, Ethereum is losing ground in the area of non-interchangeable tokens.
