Bitcoin value exceeded $25 thousand for the first time since June
Today the value of the largest cryptocurrency Bitcoin exceeded the psychological mark of $25,000 for the first time since mid-June. However, not for long: soon the figure dropped lower, and at the time of writing this news, Bitcoin is worth about $24,500.
The price of the largest cryptocurrency today, according to Bloomberg.
According to Bloomberg, the price rose 2% today to $2030, the highest since June 13. The value of bitcoin continues to rise for the 5th day in a row.
As analysts explain, the growth of the cryptocurrency comes after the publication of the latest data about the slowdown in inflation in the U.S. (from 9.1% in June to 8.5% in July).
By the way, the second-largest Ethereum token also rose in price since the beginning of today's trading by 1% - to $2011. This, among other things, is attributed to a network update ("Merge") moving the cryptocurrency to the new Proof-of-Stake (PoS) operating protocol. "Merge" is scheduled for September.
