Sotheby's auction sold 10 rare NFT Pudgy Penguins for $129,000

Auction house Sotheby's managed to sell 10 NFT penguins from the Pudgy Penguins collection for nearly $129,000.

Although the NFT market is dying, the occasional individual non-interchangeable token has caught the attention of collectors. Pudgy Penguins was created in 2021. Within a year, the volume of transactions on this collection grew to 60,000 ETH ($78 million at current exchange rates), and the value of a single token reached $500,000.

The 10 NFT penguins at Sotheby's auction were sold for $128,898, with an average price of nearly $12,900, while the most affordable token in the collection as a whole cost less than $1,500. The prices of the NFTs sold by Sotheby's are as follows:
