Bloomberg writes that Apple is trying to reduce its costs by cutting employees.

What happened and why?

So, last week, the company fired about 100 contract recruiters who were hiring other employees. They were told that the cuts were due to changes in Apple's current business needs.

At the same time, the corporation promised wages and health benefits within two weeks.

Recruiters were laid off in many areas, including Apple's offices in Texas and Singapore.

The media called this decision unusual for Apple, since the company has been actively recruiting in recent years. Apple CEO Tim Cook confirmed that the company would be "thoughtful" in its spending, even as it continues to invest in some industries. The cuts appear to be taking place amid a major economic downturn.

At the same time, full-time employees have not been affected by the cuts.
