Aircraft manufacturer Boeing has decided to give up Russian aluminum. It became known only now, but the company stopped buying the metal from the Russian Federation back in early spring 2022.

Aluminum became the second "Russian" metal that the manufacturer refused to buy after the sanctions were imposed. This year, Boeing also stopped buying titanium from Russia.

Aircraft manufacturers prefer aluminum because of its low weight, high strength and resistance to corrosion. Boeing says it now obtains metal from various parts of the world, including the United States.
