Samsung hired a former Mercedes-Benz chief designer: he is now responsible for the appearance of Galaxy gadgets

Samsung Electronics has announced personnel changes: Hubert H. Lee has been appointed as the new executive vice president and head of the MX (Mobile eXperience) development group.

Here's What We Know

Lee has more than 20 years of experience in design, and before that he was chief designer for Mercedes-Benz in China. He also has many awards to his credit for leading the Mercedes-Benz design teams in the U.S. and China.

Li will lead the MX design team that handles the look of Samsung's various Galaxy devices: the S Series and Z Series smartphones, the Galaxy Tab tablets and the Galaxy Watch smartwatch.

I am excited to join a company that is on the bleeding edge of mobile innovation and lead the team responsible for creating new mobile experiences through the art of design", Hubert H. Lee emphasized.
