Sega wants to buy Angry Birds game developer - media
Japanese holding company Sega Sammy wants to buy Rovio Entertainment, which created the popular Angry Birds game.

According to The Wall Street Journal, citing its own sources with knowledge of the situation, the deal is worth about 1 billion dollars. Sources at Bloomberg confirmed this information and added that the deal will be announced on April 17.
Incidentally, following the news the shares of Angry Birds developer increased in value by 1.1% to €7.78 with a market value of $709 million.
Angry Birds, released in 2009, was the first mobile game in history to reach one billion downloads. Rovio Entertainment has since released sequels to the game, but they haven't become as popular. Angry Birds now accounts for more than 80% of the company's purchases.
