NVIDIA up by the full value of Qualcomm, Intel or AMD in 24 hours - capitalisation up $198bn

A successful quarterly report led to a jump in NVIDIA's stock price. "The green company gained almost $200 billion in 24 hours.

NVIDIA may soon join the elite club of companies that are valued at more than $1 trillion, which currently includes Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, and Alphabet.

After the publication of the report, NVIDIA shares gained almost a quarter (24%). This pushed its market capitalisation up by $198bn to $950bn.

Interestingly, in just 24 hours NVIDIA added more than the entire capitalisation of Qualcomm, Intel or AMD. The blue company is valued at $113bn, while the red company is valued at $192bn, with Qualcomm's capitalisation at $114bn.

All in all, 2023 is shaping up to be a good year for NVIDIA. Since January, shares of the American company have risen 160%. On May 25, 2023 alone, NVDIDIA's market capitalization increased by $183.8 billion. The daily record belongs to Amazon (+$191.3 billion for February 4, 2022), and Apple is in second place (+$190.9 billion for November 10, 2022).
