Apple-1 computer advert written by Steve Jobs sold at auction for $175,000

A working Apple-1 computer signed by Steve Wozniak was recently sold at auction. The buyer paid $223,520 for it. And now auction house RR Auction has sold an advert for an Apple-1 computer.

This is a plain sheet of paper with an Apple-1 advert. It is a rough draft of the specifications of the Apple-1 machine, as well as information about the parts. But most importantly, this advertising text was written by Apple co-founder Steve Jobs.

The sheet bears Jobs' signature and the address is his parents' home, where Apple began.

The handwritten draft corresponds to the original Apple-1 advert, which was first published in the July 1976 issue of Interface Magazine. The advert is accompanied by two Polaroid photographs of Apple-1 computers.

The lot was offered for sale by a close friend of Steve Jobs, who was present during the development phase of the Apple-1. These items were given to him as a keepsake.

As a result, the auction house sold Jobs' draft for $175,759.
