Apple failed to get a delay in the ban on the sale of smartwatches in the United States. The Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2 were affected.

Here's What We Know

The International Trade Commission (ITC) has banned the sale of smartwatches in the US as the company has infringed Masimo patents. Apple tried to get a reprieve, but the regulator rejected the appeal of the manufacturer from Cupertino.

Thus, the ban on the sale of Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2 in online shops has already come into force. Offline sales of the wearable gadgets will stop on 24 December, while imports of smart watches will be banned from 26 December. In this case, we are talking about Apple shops. Third-party retailers will be able to sell off watches that are in stock.

It's worth noting that Apple still has a chance to continue selling smart watches in the country. This will happen in the event that US President Joe Biden vetoes the ban. The head of the White House must make a decision before Christmas (December 25).
