Apple recently stopped selling the Apple Watch Series 9 Apple Watch Ultra 2 in the US due to a lawsuit. Now it has been reported that Apple may temporarily bring the devices back to the American market.

Here's What We Know

This was reported by the publication The Verge. The fact is that Apple was strongly disagree with the decision of the US International Trade Commission (ITC), so the company appealed to the US Federal Court of Appeals with a request to temporarily suspend the ban until US Customs determines whether the changes the company makes to the Apple Watch are enough to avoid a dispute. Fortunately, the court granted the request. This means that Apple can resume selling current models of the smartwatch through its shops until the next hearing, which is scheduled for 12 January 2024.

Flashback

In October this year, the US International Trade Commission (ITC) ruled to ban the importation of certain Apple Watches into the US. The ITC found that Apple had infringed Masimo's patents related to the operation of the SpO2 measurement sensor. The case was referred to the administration of US President Joe Biden. Unfortunately, Biden did not veto the injunction. So Apple is now considering "a number of legal and technical options" to resolve the dispute.
