iPad 10 showed on renders: the new "budget" tablet expects a significant redesign

AppleInsider has published images of the upcoming 10th generation iPad, based on CAD renderings that leaked online earlier this month.

What to expect

The iPad tablets are entry-level models with simpler features and a low price. So there aren't many changes with each generation - for example, the ninth generation of iPad is essentially the same as the previous two generations, with the exception of some minor processor and camera upgrades. However, it seems that the next model will undergo a major redesign.

So, if the renders are to be believed, the tablet could get flat edges, a new rear camera module and thinner bezels around the display. Despite the more modern design, the Home button remains, although it barely fits into the reduced frame.

The Home button is the only button that we'll see in the future.

The use of flat sides could indicate compatibility with the Apple Pencil 2, meaning that the original Apple Pencil could finally be phased out after the 10.2-inch iPad is no longer on sale.

In addition, the screen has apparently increased in size to 10.5 inches.

Worryingly, there are very few leaks about the new iPad on the web so far, although the redesign should have caught the attention of insiders. So it is possible that the design of the tablet will change not this year, but next year. In any case, the presentation of the iPad 10 will be held soon - in the fall. If it does get a redesign, we can expect an increase in price - presumably up to $400.
