Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra will get a 200-megapixel camera
Smartphone manufacturers continue the race for megapixels, and Samsung does not intend to lag behind its competitors. If we believe the sources, next year we will see the first smartphone of the South Korean giant with a 200-megapixel camera.
What to expect?
According to South Korean sources, the company has told "major camera partners" that the next generation of its flagship device will have a 200-megapixel camera. It is expected that there will be only one model in the lineup with such a sensor - the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.
Recall that the current flagships use a 108-megapixel sensor, which debuted almost 3 years ago with the Galaxy S20 Ultra. Samsung Electronics first introduced the 200 MP sensor last year, but has not yet used it in its products.
That said, the first smartphone with a 200-megapixel camera was the Moto X30 Pro, introduced this month. According to rumors, soon Xiaomi 12T Pro will compete with it. Although the resolution will be the same, Samsung may use a new sensor for its device rather than the one it sells to its competitors.
