In a new research note provided by Barron's, renowned Wedbush analyst Dan Ives predicts that Apple will raise prices again this year for its upcoming iPhone 15 range of smartphones.

Details

The analyst doesn't give specific figures, but insiders have previously talked about price hikes of up to $200, especially for the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models.

If this information is confirmed, it would be the second price increase in the international market in two years. Last year's iPhone 14 was more expensive than its predecessors (as Ives predicted, by the way), but not in the US - prices were unchanged there. But for the global market, the iPhone 15 price hike will be the second in a row.

Nevertheless, the analyst believes that sales of the iPhone 15 will not suffer much because of this. He estimates that around 250 million iPhones have not been upgraded for more than 4 years, which has created a huge amount of potential buyers. He also raised his 12-month target price for Apple stock from $205 to $220.
