Apple and other smartphone manufacturers have long experimented with body materials to make them more comfortable and durable. And Apple's new patent suggests that the company has found a new and unusual way to make the iPhone "unbreakable".

Details

So, Apple has recently received a new USPTO patent called Spatial Composites, which describes a special coating on the back of a smartphone. It consists of a large number of microgranules that can be made from different materials: glass, ceramic and metal. As a result, these bubbles make the panel more resistant to scratches and dents.

In addition, the coating not only plays a protective role, but also acts as a design element. The patent says that the beads are capable of reflecting light and "shimmering like polished gems".

The patent describes the process as designed for mobile devices such as smartphones, watches, tablets, laptops, laptops, music playback devices and more. But in any case, it's still just a patent that could remain on paper.
