Analyst: iPhone 15 smartphones could be delayed by a few weeks
Bank of America Global Research analyst Wamsi Mohan correctly predicted in 2020 that the iPhone 12 would not go on sale in September, but would be delayed until October. As a result, that's exactly what happened: the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro were shipped to customers on 23 October, while the mini and Pro Max models didn't arrive until 13 November. Now, according to the analyst, a similar story awaits the iPhone 15 line.
Here's What We Know
Vamsi Mohan says that, according to his information, the new smartphones will not go on sale in September, but will be delayed by several weeks. He does not give a specific date, but predicts that sales will start in October. He came to this conclusion after reviewing companies in Apple's supply chain.
The analyst speaks specifically about sales, not about the official presentation. Therefore, most likely, smartphones iPhone 15 will debut at an event in September, and on the shelves of shops will appear only next month. What this is due to is unknown.
In this regard, the analyst revised Apple's revenue forecast for the third quarter of 2023: if earlier it was $91.6 billion, it has now decreased to $87.1 billion.
