Rumour: Sony is working on a foldable smartphone - Xperia Flip will get a 7-inch flexible 4K display

Sony, like Apple, is one of the few manufacturers that still doesn't have its own foldable smartphone. But that could soon change - the company is already rumoured to be working on a foldable gadget, which is expected to be called the Xperia Flip.

Here's What We Know

According to insiders, the Xperia Flip will have a "clamshell" form factor like the Samsung Galaxy Flip series of smartphones. Only the screen aspect ratio will be 21:9, not 22:9 like the Galaxy Flip 4, so the device will be slightly wider.

The Sony Xperia Flip should also get a 7-inch internal screen with 4K resolution.

Unfortunately, no other details are available yet. Including, it is unknown when exactly the smartphone will be ready for official release.
