Apple is considering releasing a foldable iPad
It's 2023 and Apple is still one of the few manufacturers that still doesn't have a foldable device. But sources say that the company is already developing such a gadget. And not only a smartphone, but also a tablet.
Here's What We Know
A new DigiTimes report citing supply chain sources says that Apple is considering releasing a foldable iPad. Essentially, it would be the same folding gadget in a book form factor as Samsung and Google, only with a larger internal screen. You open the tablet and you get a flexible display with a large diagonal. According to rumours, the folding iPad will also have a hinge connecting the two parts of the case.
Incidentally, back in January, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo (Ming-Chi Kuo) predicted that the foldable iPad will be released in 2024. Unfortunately, there are no details yet, but the company is rumoured to be considering all options in the long term, including foldable iPhones, iPads and Macs.
In the meantime, it's unknown if Apple will release any of these devices, or if the plans will remain in the research and development phase.
