It's official: Sony will unveil the Xperia 5 V compact flagship smartphone with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 on the first day of autumn

Sony has revealed the launch date for the next-generation Xperia 5 V compact flagship. The model will be announced next week.

Sony Xperia 5 V will get a dual main camera. A short video demonstrates its capabilities in daylight and at night.

It is also known that the smartphone will get a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. The chip has a maximum frequency of 3.2 GHz and Adreno 740 GPU graphics core. The RAM will be 16GB and the fast charging power will be 33W.

Sony Xperia 5 V will go on sale with Android 13 operating system pre-installed. The cost of the smartphone has not yet been specified. The presentation will take place on 1 September 2023.
