Xiaomi ends support for five low-cost Redmi and POCO smartphones - they will no longer receive Android and MIUI updates
Xiaomi has updated its End of Support (EOS) list. If recently the company removed from it one smartphone, now in its place came five models at once.
Here's What We Know
A few weeks ago, Xiaomi added the Redmi Note 9 Pro 2020 smartphone to the EOS list. This caused perplexity among many users, and in mid-August the company decided to remove the model from the list.
Now it has become known that the list was replenished with five smartphones, one of which can be called a flagship with a stretch. This is the Redmi K30 Ultra. It was presented three years ago, and the top version was priced at almost $400.
The smartphone will no longer receive updates to the MIUI software and Android operating system. Along with it, the cheaper Redmi 9, Redmi 9 Prime, Redmi 9C NFC and POCO M2 Pro models have been added to the EOS list.
