Electric car maker NIO to produce smartphones, first new product to be released in September

A rumour has reappeared on the internet that Chinese electric car manufacturer NIO is planning to enter the smartphone market.

According to the insider, the release of the device will take place as early as this month. The smartphone will be powered by the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. It is also known that the gadget will come with a proprietary interface Nio OS based on Android.

The novelty will get a voice assistant and 100-watt fast charging. It will charge a 4500-4800 mAh battery in 25 minutes. The smartphone should come with a QHD+ display. The panel will get rounded edges, a hole for the front camera and an inbuilt fingerprint scanner.

Unfortunately, there is no information about the price of the novelty yet, but it is known that it will be a premium flagship smartphone. Therefore, we can assume that the gadget will be priced at $1000.
