OnePlus Open foldable smartphone has surfaced in a video
OnePlus has started teasering its first foldable smartphone.
Here's What We've Seen
The Chinese manufacturer, in collaboration with YouTube channel Unbox Therapy, showed OnePlus Open on video. The novelty, unlike other foldable smartphones on the market, will not get a gap between the hinges. According to the CEO of the company, such a hinge has 35 patents. It also takes up less space than the hinge in OPPO Find N2.
In the video, you can still see the flat edges of the device and the sound mode switch. By the way, the gadget was developed not only by OnePlus, but also by OPPO engineers.
Technical Characteristics
According to leaks, OnePlus Open will be equipped with two displays: the main one with a diagonal of 7.8 inches and a resolution of 2K, as well as an additional one at 6.3 inches. Both panels will have an AMOLED matrix with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The OnePlus Open should be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and powered by a 4,800mAh battery with 67W charging. Cameras in the novelty will be four: triple main 48 MP + 48 MP + 64 MP and two frontal 32 MP each. The smartphone will come to the market with OxygenOS Fold interface based on Android 13.
When We Can Expect It
The smartphone is expected to be released this month.
