Samsung will not unveil the Galaxy Ring until the second half of 2024 at the earliest
Rumours about the Samsung Galaxy Ring have been around for a while now, but it is still unclear when it will be officially unveiled. Earlier it was reported that the presentation will take place in early 2024, at an event to celebrate the premiere of the flagship line of smartphones Galaxy S24. However, for now, the Galaxy Ring is not worth waiting for.
Here's What We Know
Korean publication The Elec writes that the Galaxy Ring will not debut in the first quarter of 2024, because Samsung has a design problem: the smart ring at the current stage supports many functions, but is too big for commercialisation. Therefore, developers need to reduce the size while keeping as many features as possible.
That said, the Samsung Galaxy Ring will be available in four sizes so that everyone can find the right fit.
According to sources, Samsung plans to introduce the Galaxy Ring in the third quarter of 2024 along with the foldable smartphones Galaxy Fold 6 and Galaxy Flip 6. But if the company fails to get the device certified as a medical device in time, the launch will be delayed until the first quarter of 2025.
The publication says Samsung is also considering a Galaxy Ring that can work with augmented reality (XR) and mixed reality (MR) devices.
