Huawei will release another processor this year - Kirin 830. The Nova 12 smartphone will get it
Last year, Huawei said that there would be no new Kirin processors in 2023. But some time passed and the company introduced the flagship Mate 60 series with Kirin 9000S platform. And now, according to insiders, Huawei is preparing a new processor.
Here's What We Know
The new chip is likely to be called Kirin 830. According to sources, it will be released later this year and will form the basis of the new Nova 12 smartphone.
The Kirin 830's performance is rumoured to be on par with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 778G or Snapdragon 870. Who will be the processor manufacturer for Huawei is unknown, as the 5G technology and patents are still owned by US companies that are not allowed to trade with Huawei or its subsidiary chipset maker HiSilicon due to sanctions.
There's also some information about the Nova 12 smartphone, although it's just a rumour for now. It is expected to feature a triple main camera, 60 MP front camera and will support 88W fast charging.
