Rumour: OnePlus will raise the price of the new OnePlus 12 flagship
The presentation of the new flagship OnePlus 12 is expected by the end of the year, but already now there are more and more leaks about the characteristics of the smartphone.
Here's What We Know
According to rumours, the main innovations will be the display, camera and battery. The touchscreen will be produced by BOE: the smartphone will get a 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz, a resolution of 3168×1440 pixels and a peak brightness of 2600 nits. The battery capacity will increase by 400 mAh over its predecessor to 5,400 mAh.
And the main camera is expected to include a 50 MP sensor, a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 64 MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.
However, if an insider is to be believed, these 3 key improvements will make the OnePlus 12 more expensive than the OnePlus 11, which started at $699 for the version with 8GB RAM and 128GB inbuilt storage.
That said, it is rumoured that the base model will have 16GB of RAM and 256GB of inbuilt storage instead of 8GB and 128GB, which will affect the price. Besides, other companies like Apple and Google have also raised the prices of their latest phones, so against them, the OnePlus 12 will still be cheaper.
