Insider: Qualcomm is preparing to release Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, the chip will not be as powerful as Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2

Qualcomm recently unveiled its flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, and is now preparing to release a new mid-range processor.

Here's What We Know

We are talking about the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip. According to Digital Chat Station insider, the new SoC is numbered SM7550. The novelty will be built on TSMC's 4-nanometre process. The chip will get a single core Cortex A715 at 2.63 GHz, three cores at 2.4 GHz and four cores at 1.8 GHz. For games in Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 will be responsible for the Adreno 720 graphics.

What is interesting, the novelty will be less productive than last year's Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 processor. The chip comes with Adreno 725 graphics and a maximum clock speed of 2.92 GHz.

When We Can Expect It

Qualcomm will unveil the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 later this year or early next year. Xiaomi, vivo, OPPO, Honor and other smartphones will get the new chip.
