No, Samsung is not going to release a cheap $400-500 foldable smartphone

Recently, the internet was abuzz with rumours that Samsung is preparing a mid-budget foldable smartphone that will be part of the Galaxy FE lineup, will cost around $400-500 and will be released in 2024. Now we have some disappointing news for you.

A Samsung spokesperson denied this information and said that the company is not working on an affordable foldable smartphone:

We don’t plan to manufacture foldable smartphones that are priced in the mid-range, and the latest rumors are groundless.

Now the starting price for Flip series devices year after year is $999, and for now you should not count on a cheaper gadget. But, Samsung may have to reconsider its pricing policy in the future due to increased competition.
