Rumour: Sonos will start making headphones, the first model will cost over $400 and compete with the AirPods Max

Sonos recently announced that it is going to launch a new product category. According to Bloomberg, we are talking about wireless headphones.

According to the report, the first novelty of the brand will compete with AirPods Max, as well as with the top headphones of Sony, Bose and Sennheiser. The model should cost $400-500. The headphones will get synchronisation with other Sonos products. For example, with smart speakers, soundbars and subwoofers.

According to Bloomberg, Sonos is not aiming to provide a broader set of technical features than Apple's. The company will focus more on personalisation and fine-tuning sound with the Passport app.

By the way, Sonos has been working on headphones for several years. The release of the novelty is scheduled for April 2024.
