Not just headphones: Sonos will release an Apple TV analogue with proprietary services and Android on board

Recently we wrote that the Sonos company plans to enter the headphone market. As it turned out, the American manufacturer plans to produce another new category of goods.

It's about TV set-top boxes. According to Bloomberg, the first device will be released in late 2024 or early 2025. The novelty will compete with Apple TV.

The set-top box will become a control centre for Sonos smart speakers, soundbars and subwoofers. The device will run on Android and will get support for Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision. The novelty should come with proprietary services and various pre-installed apps. As for the price, it will be around $150-200.
