The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra won't get 16GB of RAM, while the standard model will be equipped with 8GB for the sixth year in a row
Samsung does not plan to increase the amount of RAM in flagship smartphones. Moreover, the Galaxy S24 Ultra will lose the modification with 16 GB of RAM.
Here's What We Know
This is reported by a well-known insider Ice Universe. According to his information, Samsung Galaxy S24 will be equipped with 8 GB of RAM. The first flagship of the company with 8 GB of RAM was the Galaxy S10 model, which appeared in 2019.
Fans of the larger version will finally be able to buy a modification with 12 GB of RAM. But the Galaxy S24 Ultra will offer only 8/12 GB of RAM. The refusal of the variant with 16 GB of memory looks very strange, since many companies already equip their models with 24 GB of RAM.
It's good to see that the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will be sold everywhere with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. But the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ will be equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or Exynos 2400 depending on the region.
All three models appeared in the US Federal Communications Commission's database. According to the regulator, the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ will get Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3 and NFC, while the Ultra version will be equipped with a Wi-Fi 7 wireless adapter.
There is no information about the prices of the smartphones yet. According to preliminary reports, the Samsung Galaxy S24 family will be unveiled on 17 January 2024.
