Xiaomi has unveiled the Redmi 12R with a 90Hz screen, Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip and a 50 MP camera

Xiaomi announced the Redmi 13R budget smartphone in China the other day, and now, unexpectedly, it has revealed the Redmi 12R model.

The novelty has already appeared in some Chinese shops for $139. There are two colours available: Obsidian Black and Smoke Green.

As for the specs, the gadget has a 6.79-inch panel with Full HD+ resolution, 90Hz refresh rate and 550 nits peak brightness. The gadget is powered by a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor paired with 4GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage. The smartphone also features a 50 MP + 2 MP main camera, a 5 MP front camera and a 5,000 mAh battery with 18W charging. The novelty comes with Android 13 operating system and MIUI 14 shell.

By the way, the specifications of the Redmi 12R are very similar to those of the POCO M6 Pro 5G. The smartphone made its debut in India this summer.
