A Black Shark-branded gaming smartphone may hit the market next year. This is hinted at by the existence of a prototype of the device.

Here's What We Know

On the Chinese site Xianyu published several ads for the sale of prototypes of Black Shark Ultra. Some of the devices run on the JOYUI 13 firmware, which is a modification of MIUI 13. However, there are also newer gadgets with HyperOS operating system, on top of which the JOYUI 15 shell is installed.

The prototypes are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 mobile processor. Recall that in autumn Qualcomm presented the chip of the third generation. The screen format 3.2K (3200 x 1440) has a diagonal of 6.73". The resolution of the main camera is 64 MP + 16 MP + 2 MP, and the front camera is 16 MP.

A proprietary cooler can be attached to the rear panel of the Black Shark Ultra for better cooling. The smartphone has a widget that allows you to open and close the fan hole.

If the Black Shark Ultra comes to market, it's unlikely to happen before spring 2024. It's also unclear how much the final version of the smartphone might differ from the prototypes that are being sold on a Chinese classifieds site.
