Touch ID, USB-C port and big screen: 12.9-inch iPad Air shown on CAD renders

Previously, we repeatedly wrote that Apple is working on a larger iPad Air with a 12.9-inch screen. This will be the largest iPad Air in the history of the range. Currently, only the iPad Pro has a 12.9-inch display in Apple's tablet range. 91mobiles has obtained exclusive CAD renders of the new iPad Air.

Here's What We Know

The renders are provided by industry sources, and they give us an idea of the possible design of the upcoming iPad Air. Overall, it has the same look and feel as the current iPad Air. And there is nothing surprising in this, as the tablet has not so long ago significantly updated in terms of design.

So, iPad Air will get a thin body with flat edges, Touch ID button on top and USB-C port on the bottom. Small changes occurred in the design of the rear camera: there is a frame around the lens and flash, which visually highlights the camera.

The 12.9-inch iPad Air is expected to feature an M2 chip.
