iPhone 16 turns into a camera: what features the new Capture Button will have
Back last year, insiders reported that the upcoming iPhone 16 will feature a new Capture Button. Sources agreed that it will help control the camera. But what exactly will the new button's functions be and why is it even needed?
Here's What's New About It
According to Instant Digital, the Capture Button will detect multiple levels of pressure. A light press will allow the user to adjust focus, while a harder press all the way down will allow the user to take a photo or start shooting video.
This is essentially the same feature found on most DSLRs and mirrorless cameras, where the shutter button has two degrees of pressure. The source added that the arrival of the capture button reinforces the iPhone's turn towards photography.
This button will be located on the bottom right corner of the iPhone 16 and will replace the mmWave antenna in US models. In turn, the antenna will be moved to the left side of the device below the volume and action buttons. Non-US smartphones don't have this antenna.
