Samsung may unveil the Galaxy Ring in July along with the foldable Galaxy Flip 6 and Fold 6 smartphones

A couple of weeks ago, a Samsung Electronics spokesperson said that the company wants to introduce a "new wearable health and wellness product" in the second half of the year. Presumably, we're talking about the Samsung Galaxy Ring. A new report from ETNews reveals new details about the gadget's specs and release date.

According to the source, Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Ring at the Unpacked event in the second half of July. For example, last year, such a presentation took place on 26 July. And since Samsung is unlikely to plan a separate presentation for a single device, the new foldable smartphones Galaxy Flip 6 and Fold 6 are also likely to debut on that day.

In terms of specs, the Galaxy Ring is expected to be able to perform typical health and sleep tracking functions, and will also get the ability to track blood flow and take ECGs.

The report says that the ring will support contactless payments and will be able to remotely control other gadgets. A total of 8 ring sizes will be available.
