Like iPad 10: iPad Air and iPad Pro tablets could get a front camera on the side bezel
The 10th-generation iPad once received a useful change: Apple moved the front camera to the side frame to make it easier for users to make video calls using the gadget in landscape orientation. Now it looks like other tablet models will get this design as well.
Here's What We Know
Insider Instant Digital reported in Chinese social networks that the new iPad Air and iPad Pro will get a horizontal camera. In the current models, the front camera, which, among other things, is necessary for Face ID and FaceTime, is located on the top frame. Therefore, if the user needs to arrange a video conference or make a video call - the tablet can be used only vertically.
Earlier in the code of iOS 17.4 found hints that the future iPad Pro will be equipped with a camera on the side frame. Now an insider says that these changes will affect the new versions of iPad Air with 10.9-inch and 12.9-inch screens.
The iPad Air and OLED iPad Pro are expected to be released as early as this month. Along with them, an updated Apple Pencil is expected to debut.
