Photos of the upcoming Motorola Edge 50 Pro have surfaced on the internet
Motorola is preparing to launch its new flagship smartphone, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro. This device is likely to be called Motorola X50 Ultra in China and Motorola Edge+(2024) in the global market(US).
Here's What We Know
The Motorola Edge 50 Pro is available in three colours: purple, black and silver/white/stone. However, the rear panels of the purple and black colours have a texture that appears to mimic leather.
Motorola has equipped the Edge 50 Pro with a triple camera on the back. It includes a 50-megapixel main sensor with an aperture of f/1.4, as well as a 13mm wide-angle lens and a 73mm telephoto lens, which equates to a 6x zoom. The camera will also have laser autofocus and optical image stabilisation.
Motorola continues to use a curved display. It will be a 6.7-inch display with a refresh rate of 165Hz. Inside the device will feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, 12GB of RAM, a 4,500mAh battery with 125W wired charging and 50W wireless charging support.
Motorola has already released a teaser of the X50 Ultra in China, indicating that this will be an AI phone. This is quite in line with trends, considering that more and more smartphones are launching with Google's Gemini AI model today.
More information on the X50 Ultra/Edge 50 Pro should come in the coming weeks. These renders show a date of 3 April, so that could be the date of the device's official unveiling.
