Fake AirPods cases with a display are gaining popularity
Recently, fake AirPods cases that are equipped with a screen have appeared on the Internet.
Here's What We Know
This idea, which once belonged to Apple, became a reality thanks to a Chinese manufacturer. Although the sound quality of these counterfeit devices leaves much to be desired, their appearance raises the question: does Apple plan to implement its patent?
MacRumors contributor Dan Barbera checked out one of these devices to see how well it matched Apple's vision. A first look at this case confirmed that it does indeed have the functions described in the patent. Using the screen, the user can control music playback, the iPhone camera, and other functions.
In addition, according to an Apple insider, the company plans to release a new generation of the initial AirPods (the fourth in a row) by the end of this year, along with the updated AirPods Max 2. According to him, the upcoming affordable headphones will be sold under the name "AirPods Lite" and will be manufactured in India by Foxconn.
