Game apps for entertaining cats have long been uncommon, "but dogs get bored," thought dog owners and researchers Dersim Advar and Marco Jenny. They designed a game platform and created a program that simultaneously educates, entertains and increases the mental alertness of the animals.
Here's What We Know
The startup, called Joipaw, involves a dog interacting with a touch screen by pressing on it with his nose. For correct actions, the four-legged gamer receives a treat from a dispenser located under the screen.
It's not clear how widely such entertainment can be used, how many dogs and what breeds will be able to master such a challenging activity, and (importantly) how much it will cost the owner, but the video presented by the developers is amusing.
