Space presidential funeral - Celestis will send DNA from Washington, Kennedy, Reagan and Eisenhower into space
The funeral company Celestis will send the remains of deceased Presidents of the United States into deep space. The idea is that future civilisations will learn more about humanity by studying the DNA.
Here's What We Know
Four American presidents were unlucky: George Washington, Ronald Reagan, John F. Kennedy and Dwight Eisenhower. Their DNA will be packed into special capsules and sent to orbit the skies around the Sun.
In May 2023, the United Launch Alliance will make its first launch of the Vulcan launch vehicle. It will send into space the remains of four U.S. presidents. It is possible that in future, Celestis will send the DNA of other famous personalities into orbit around the sun.
The company says that studying the DNA will allow future civilisations to learn how humanity evolved to migrate to other planets. But Celestis officials have not yet figured out exactly how they will be able to locate the DNA capsules in space.
